Tips for a Successful Visit
What to bring:
a sack lunch or snack
a water bottle or cold drink
insect repellant (especially in warm
weather)
camera if you want to take pictures
What to wear:
jeans, slacks or shorts
a cap or hat
old shoes (boots or tennis shoes that
are comfortable)-please no flip flops
a coat or jacket if the weather is cool
Safety Tips
stay with an adult or your group leader
avoid steep banks and slippery shorelines
watch out for snakes
enjoy the wildflowers where they are
instead of picking them
never pick up animals of any kind
stay on the trail and boardwalks in the
wetland area
